  I have tried many sites around the area and in Quebec I am DEFINITIVELY not coming back to this one. We went to Lac Kiamika for a canoe-camping week-end and had previously called to ensure a good arrival time. The receptionist assured me that they never had any problems of canoe-campers not finding any sites (as you cannot reserve the sites in advance and we thought it would be a fun experience...) What she forgot to mention is that most people are on motor boats and practically no one goes to these sites with canoes. We had to canoe for almost 6 hours continuously (8h30am - 3h00pm) before securing a free camping site...(not at all well maintained for a regional park). Moreover,  our water cooler broke and we had to buy bottled water for the rest of the week end. As we wanted to buy 2 cases of water, the crook at their convenience store absolutely wanted to sell us each bottled water individually (2.5$x24x2 =120$, the same cases of water you can find for 5-6$ at Couche Tard). He was justifying that it was supply and demand (with a arrogant smile). All in all, we are lucky to live in a country where we have some of the world's most beautiful regional parks, and with such welcoming people maintaining them. Unfortunately, Park regional du réservoir Kiamika is just not one of them.
